US GOVERNMENT SHUTS DOWN OVER HEALTHCARE DISPUTE

The U.S. federal government officially shut down on September 30, 2025, for the first time in six years, because a deadlocked Congress failed to pass a funding measure, with the stalemate driven by Democratic demands to extend enhanced Affordable Care Act premium subsidies.

$1.6 BILLION CONTRACT FOR SOLE U.S. URANIUM PLANT

BWX Technologies was awarded a 10year, $1.6 billion contract by the Department of Energy’s NNSA to build and operate a High-Purity Depleted Uranium (HPDU) manufacturing facility in Tennessee, which will be the only active U.S. site capable of performing this production process for the government.

CACI WINS $983M DHS IT AND AI SUPPORT CONTRACT

LOCKHEED SECURES $12.5B F-35 PRODUCTION CONTRACT FOR LOTS 18/19

Lockheed Martin secured a $12.53 billion contract modification from the U.S. Navy to fund the production and delivery of 148 Lot 18 F-35 aircraft and expand the scope for 148 Lot 19 units. The aircraft will be delivered to U.S. services, international partners, and FMS customers.

RAYTHEON WINS $5B ARMY CONTRACT FOR COYOTE COUNTER-DRONE SYSTEM

Raytheon (RTX business) was awarded a $5.04 billion Army contract to supply components for the Coyote Missile System, which includes fixed and mobile launchers, interceptors, and radar systems. The Coyote effector is designed for high-speed counter-unmanned aircraft systems (C-UAS) and defense against drone swarms.
